Studime Historike / Historical Studies is based at the Institute of History, at the Academy of Sciences of Albania [until December 31, 2023, Academy of Albanological Studies]. The indoor review, aimed at seeing the suitability of the article to the journal’s aims and standards, takes approximately one month. The peer review process takes approximately two-three months. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Two peer-reviewers are chosen for each article from the experts in the author’s field of research or associated fields. The peer-review process cannot submit a paper to be considered for publication in the issue for which they are peer-reviewing an article.

The authors are not charged any publication fees. All submissions must be original work and cannot be previously published nor considered for publication elsewhere during the peer-review process.

Each author should submit a statement declaring the originality of his/her work. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure the scientific rigor and accuracy of their research. They are also responsible for following copyright rules for any illustrations in the article. In the case of any form of research misconduct, such as plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, the editorial board will not publish the paper and will inform the author’s institution of the issues arising from the submission. Each new issue of the journal includes an index, abstract, and summary in English of all articles.
